It is paradoxical that many educators and parents still differentiate between a time for learning and a time for play without seeing the vital connection between them.” -Leo F. Buscaglia
It is imperative that children make connections to food. Developing healthy relationships with food should begin with learning about where and how food is grown on farms. Our children are the future of agriculture. They will grow up to be future decision makers, influencers, government officials, and consumers. At Legacy Farm local children are learning about sustainable agriculture There is substantial evidence that supports the idea that growing vegetables positively influences young people's food consciousness and nutritional habits.
